BUSINESS COMMUNICATION TRAINING SERVICES

Basic Writing Skills for Business
Participants will learn techniques that will assist them in creating well-organized documents. E-mail etiquette will be discussed and participants will learn to write clear focused messages and will explore techniques that will add higher impact to their messages.

Grant Writing Preparation
This workshop takes beginning grant writers through the preliminary preparations, which are necessary in order to plan for success. By the end of the day, participants will know how to proceed to the next step of actually writing content for the grant. Participants will study grant proposals and discuss format and style.

Grant Writing
This workshop will cover outlining and writing the usual components of grants – goals and objectives, executive summary, statement of need, budget, etc. We suggest that participants attend the Grant Writing Preparation workshop prior to this one.

Writing Business Proposals
Participants will explore useful planning techniques, and step-by-step guidance for writing a business proposal.

Advertising on a low budget
In this workshop, participants will learn how to creatively promote their business with a low budget. Included topics are how to work with media, create small ad layouts, write publicity articles, and network. Participants will create a 1-year advertising plan.


ESL TRAINING

Speaking and Listening Skills
This workshop offers an opportunity for you to develop more confidence in your ability to communicate with native English speakers. It focuses on developing your listening skills and provides techniques in pronunciation that will help you speak so that you will easily be understood.

Common Challenges in Developing Speaking and Listening Skills

Includes practicing the correct sounds of “f” and “v.”

Learning about how understanding word stress can improve your ability to be quickly understood.

Understanding the rules of syllable stress which will improve your pronunciation greatly.

This workshop is for those who have mastered English skills, however they haven’t had the opportunity to develop their voice so that when they speak English, they are quickly understood.

Role play activities known to be effective, often used in this workshop by native English speakers and skilled English pronunciation Filipino teachers.

Basic Pronunciation
Often teachers of English overlook the teaching of English pronunciation skills. yet no matter how skilled one is in grammar and vocabulary, if one cannot easily be understood, certain limitations will arise when seeking employment within an English speaking environment. This series of pronunciation and accent reduction training sessions is a way to quickly learn correct punctuation, intonation, word stress and all that goes into speaking English with confidence with native English speakers and skilled English pronunciation Filipino teachers.

Finer English Speaking
This workshop is a series of sessions designed to polish your English pronunciation skills; it is a “finishing class” facilitated with native English speakers and Filipino skilled pronunciation facilitators. This series is not intended to eliminate your accent, only to make you aware of important rules that apply to syllable stress, rhythm and intonation that make a great difference in how confidently you communicate in English. “Finishing Class” may also be an effective English pronunciation review before important job interviews. It can be customized to the vocabulary of the specific work environment.

Accent Reduction Your Way
This is an up close and personal training session to address your own particular challenges with pronunciation and accent reduction. After a brief consultation, we agree on a customized program that we will develop just for you, followed with setting your goals and objectives and providing coaching and mentoring as you go forward with achieving those goals.

Pronunciation Skills for ESL Teachers and Teacher Assistants
Non-native teachers of English often overlook teaching pronunciation to their ESL students and usually focus on teaching grammar and reading with which they are more comfortable. If you are reluctant to teach pronunciation, intonation, word rhythm, and stressed/unstressed words, we provide techniques and tools that will assist you in confidently teaching pronunciation to your ESL students. We use computer-based teaching materials and provide our own specially designed audio tools to our participants.

Punctuation Skills Training for Tutors and Trainers
If you are interested in becoming a punctuation and accent reduction tutor or trainer, this workshop will provide you with resources, tools and options. You’ll understand the importance of guiding ESL learners on the path to confidence that comes with speaking so that others will understand what you’ve said.
